Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how EqCheck (“EqCheck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit eqcheck.app, use the EqCheck MCP surface, or use EqCheck’s rewrite and judge operations (collectively, the Service).
EqCheck is designed as a lightweight service for checking and adjusting the voice, tone, and style of text. The current version does not require an account, subscription, or billing relationship.
1. Information We Process
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process the following information.
1.1 Content you submit
When you call rewrite or judge, you may provide:
- draft text or other written content;
- a target voice, tone, or style description;
- an optional purpose or other context supplied with the request; and
- related tool-call parameters required to return a result.
Please do not submit information you are not authorized to provide to EqCheck.
1.2 Service and technical data
When the Service is accessed, we may automatically receive limited technical and operational information, such as:
- request time and operation used;
- network or connection information, such as IP address;
- client, protocol, or user-agent information;
- request status, latency, error information, and similar diagnostics;
- usage volume and estimated processing cost; and
- security or abuse-related signals.
EqCheck uses this information to operate the Service, understand external usage, control costs, diagnose failures, and detect abnormal or abusive activity.
1.3 Information you send us directly
If you contact EqCheck, we may receive your contact details and the contents of your message.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information processed through the Service to:
- provide the
rewriteandjudgeoperations you request; - return results to your MCP client or other authorized interface;
- operate, maintain, debug, and improve Service reliability;
- evaluate output quality and detect regressions;
- measure usage, latency, and processing cost;
- protect EqCheck and its users from abuse, malicious input, or security threats;
- enforce the EqCheck Terms of Service; and
- comply with applicable law or valid legal process.
3. AI Processing and Model Training
EqCheck uses AI infrastructure to analyze and transform submitted text. Content sent to rewrite or judge may therefore be transmitted to service providers that help EqCheck perform those operations.
EqCheck’s current Service is not designed to maintain a personal rewrite history, document library, or user profile. Submitted drafts are not used by EqCheck to train or fine-tune a model as part of the current Service by default. Any future material change to that practice would be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy and handled as required by applicable law.
Service providers may process data under their own contractual and security obligations to EqCheck. Their processing may occur in countries different from yours.
4. Storage and Retention
The current version of EqCheck is designed to be stateless for normal rewrite and judge calls and does not provide a user-facing history feature.
However, EqCheck may retain limited operational, diagnostic, security, abuse-prevention, and usage/cost logs for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Where practical, logs may be minimized, aggregated, or deleted when they are no longer needed.
If a request or error record contains submitted text, EqCheck will retain that content only to the extent reasonably necessary for service operation, debugging, security, or legal compliance.
5. How We Share Information
EqCheck may share information only as reasonably necessary with:
- AI and infrastructure providers that process requests or host the Service;
- security, logging, and operational providers used to monitor and protect the Service;
- professional advisers where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, or compliance purposes;
- authorities or other parties when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security; and
- a successor or relevant counterparty in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or transfer of the Service or related assets.
EqCheck does not sell submitted drafts or other user content as a standalone data product.
6. MCP Clients and Other Third Parties
You may access EqCheck through a third-party MCP client, agent host, application, or other service. Those third parties may independently collect or process information about you or your requests.
This Privacy Policy applies to EqCheck’s processing only. It does not govern the privacy practices of the MCP client, agent host, browser, network provider, or other third party you use to reach EqCheck.
7. Security
EqCheck uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the Service. These measures may include access controls, structured output validation, monitoring, and safeguards intended to reduce prompt-injection, malformed-request, and abuse risks.
No online service is completely secure, and EqCheck cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or lost.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights concerning personal information, such as rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing.
To make a privacy request, contact EqCheck using the contact information below. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate relevant records. Because the current Service does not require accounts, EqCheck may not be able to associate a request with historical tool calls where the necessary identifying information was not retained.
9. Children
EqCheck is not directed to children under the age at which they may independently consent to online services in their jurisdiction. Do not use the Service to intentionally submit personal information about children unless you have a lawful basis and appropriate authority to do so.
10. International Processing
EqCheck and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, EqCheck will use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of personal information.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
EqCheck may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves, including if accounts, usage controls, paid access, new storage features, or different data practices are introduced. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
